The whistle is called by many names: tin whistle (for those made out of tin), penny whistle, and Irish whistle. It is made in any key and has only six holes. The fingering is not unlike the recorder - no surprise since they are in the same family. Small in size, the whistle is an easy instrument to pack and later whip out for jamming fun!
Fun fact: One can create a drone whistle by taping over some of the holes of one whistle and then playing two whistles together.
