This beautiful instrument is one Cara-Anne has dreamed of playing for many years. Now, she is honored to play one built by Dennis Baumgardner - a man talented in both woodworking and in playing music himself. The hammered dulcimer that he has made has 15 strings on the left and 14 on the right. The strings are struck with two light-weight hammers to produce a truly lovely tone. The unique, three-dimensional carvings seen in this hammered dulcimer were created by Phil David.
